Charleston Wedding Venue Highlight: Parcel 32
One of our favorite things about Charleston is the local history. We love seeing the charm of the city’s history shine through each of our clients’ wedding venues. Parcel 32 is an inviting modern historic event venue located in downtown Charleston.
From Parcel 32: As one of the celebrated historic properties stemming from the Patrick Properties Hospitality Group, Parcel 32 has a rich history to share. The 442 King Street Charleston single house was originally built in 1837. In its former life, it housed the peninsula’s highest volume bakery for 75 years, run by the Amme family. The name “Parcel 32” references the original King Street block noted on Charleston’s 1888 map by Sanborn Map & Publishing Co.
So it’s safe to say that if you are looking for a venue with a story, Parcel 32 has you covered. This event space is perfect for those that are planning an intimate to medium size wedding, capable of hosting up to 75 guests. If your wedding reception vision includes delicious cocktails, quality time with guests, and a chic ambiance, you’ll want to hear more about this venue!
Courtyard & Piazza
Let’s start off with the outside space! Right from the beginning, Parcel 32 offers an inviting outside courtyard and piazza overlooking the city for guests to lounge. You can capture newlywed photography under the string lights while surrounded by lush greenery. The outdoor space leads straight into the bar for the ultimate cocktail hour experience.
Main Bar
Not only does this venue offer a reception space, but you can select a curated drink and cuisine menu to serve your guests. Invite those attending your reception to mingle at the main bar before dinner. Parcel 32 will work with you to choose menus that reflect your taste as a couple. This will allow you to check off your bar and catering upon booking!
The Parlour
If you are planning on hosting rehearsal dinner, you can keep everything at the same venue. Parcel 32 offers a comfortable space to celebrate before the wedding. If you want to save some surprises for your guests, opt to host your rehearsal dinner in the Parlour. That way, your wedding dinner will seem like an entirely new space even at the same venue. Plus, we have to say, the Parlour is one of our favorite places for photography!
Dining Room
Onto the main event! The dining room is a classic and modern space to enjoy your reception with your loved ones. If you have a larger guest count and prefer to keep things casual, select a standing cocktail reception for up to 75 guests. For a traditional, formal dinner the dining room can seat up to 60 seated guests.
